Athlete training compression

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Compression & product

What does graduated compression do?
Graduated compression applies controlled pressure that's strongest at the furthest point from your heart (ankle/wrist) and decreases up the limb. This improves blood flow, reduces muscle oscillation and accelerates recovery. Read our full guide here.

What's the difference between P1 Elite, P1 Race and P1 Ultra?
P1 Elite is our flagship range: 15-20 mmHg medical-grade graduated compression for daily training and racing. P1 Race adds race-day features like internal drawcord and gel pockets. P1 Ultra is our premium tier combining the best of both with enhanced fabric and construction.

What compression level should I choose?
15-20 mmHg (Elite/Race/Ultra shorts and tights) is ideal for training, racing and recovery for most athletes. 25-30 mmHg (Race Socks) is firm compression for race day and high-intensity sessions.

Can I wear compression all day?
Yes. Our compression is designed for all-day comfort. Just don't sleep in it; your body needs unrestricted circulation overnight.

Sizing & fit

How should compression fit?
Snug but not painful. You should feel firm support without restriction. Check our Size Guide.

What if I'm between sizes?
Size down for more compression, take your normal size for a more relaxed fit.

Do you offer tall or short inseams?
The P1 Elite Tights are made in short (SS, MS) and tall (MT, LT) inseams, but we are not holding stock of them at the moment, so they are not listed on the product page. Email us if you want one and we'll tell you where it sits in the next buy.

Orders & shipping

When will my order ship?
Orders before 2pm GMT Monday-Friday ship the same day. See our Shipping page.

Can I modify or cancel my order?
Once submitted, orders can't usually be changed because they enter our automated fulfilment system. Contact us immediately if you need help. We'll do what we can.

How do I track my order?
You'll receive a tracking link via email. Visit our Track Your Order page.

What happens if my product arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours with photos. We'll arrange a replacement or full refund.

Returns

What's your returns policy?
30-day free returns on unworn items with tags attached. Full details on our Returns page.

How long do refunds take?
5-7 working days from when we receive your return, then 5-10 days for your bank to process.

Care & durability

How do I wash my compression gear?
Cold machine wash inside out with similar colours. Mild detergent only. Line dry in shade. Do not tumble dry, wring, dry clean, bleach or iron.

How long does compression last?
Our circular knit fabric and dope-dyed yarns are engineered to maintain compression integrity through hundreds of washes: 2-3 years of regular use is typical.

Stock & availability

When did SA1NT LAYERS UK launch?
We went live in the UK in August 2026. The compression range and the race socks are in stock and shipping from the UK.

Which sizes can I buy?
The sizes listed on a product page are the sizes we hold for that product. Most run S to L, with XL on the men's P1 Elite Tights and Shorts, the P1 Ultra Shorts and the race socks. Stock is held per product, so check the product page rather than assuming the size run is the same across the range.

Do you stock XXS, XS, XXL or XXXL?
Not at the moment. Those sizes exist in the range but we are not holding stock of them, so they are not listed. We would rather leave them off than show you a size you cannot buy.

Can I get told when a size comes back?
Yes. Email stephen@tclsports.co.uk with the product and the size and we'll come back to you when it lands. That covers both sizes that have sold out and sizes we are not currently stocking. What people ask for feeds the next buy, so it is worth telling us.
